Ah yes, the old classic fold-out record covers, you gotta love....and certainly miss 'em. EARTH QUAKE was a great California band from the 70's who more than paid their dues. Starting off playing the bar circuit in the late 60's they were finally signed to A&M in 1971 and put out two albums for them. Unhappy with the way the label was handling them, manifest destiny intervened and in 1973 they received a settlement in a suit about their music being used in the movie The Getaway and then used that money to form their own label. This album "8.5" came in 1976 and is classic two-guitar pub rock with a little early power pop thrown in. Great stuff, one of those bands that never quite got the recognition they deserved. Link. Out of print vinyl only release ripped right from the vinyl.
