Okay so it's no mystery I'm one of the biggest Black Crowes fans on the planet and have hundreds of shows in the "archives." This show here is one of my very favorites for a variety of reasons. If you're a fan like me you know that for the most part Chris doesn't usually say too much between songs or go into lengthy in-between song banters. But on this night in Baltimore at the Ram's Head in Baltimore, Chris is a major Chatty Cathy and sounds quite high in a good way. Maybe he just got some good news that night that put him in an overly good mood? I've never heard any other show where he does this kind of talking at all, not even close. The other reason I really like this show besides it's a damn good one is the fact that I was supposed to be there that night. My friend and I were going to fly in from California and Canada respectively for this show and at the last minute we nixed our plans. I've always regretted that decision as this was clearly a very special show. And they also broke out the rarely heard "Title Song" for the encore. Excellent audience capture by someone who was close to the stage and knew what they were doing. Link. Set list is here. Note this is not an official release and is suitable for trading.
First 20 minutes of show.
