I had the distinct pleasure of being in the right place at the right time when this gentleman walked out on stage with his band at the LA Coliseum in 1982 to play an opening set for the Clash and The Who. Unknown and not listed on the bill he ran thru a short set of songs that were upbeat, lyrical and pop. To say I instantly liked him is an understatement. A couple weeks later this EP came out. It's never been released on CD although Rhino did add most of the tracks as bonus tracks on a limited edition CD in 2007 that is way out of print. This post here is ripped right from the original vinyl you see above. Link. Side One- Hold On Tight, Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, I Wish You Could Have Seen Her Dance. Side Two- A Ridiculous Man, Poetry, Trap Door. "Intelligent and compelling, well worth hunting down" said AllMusic.com.
