What's A Beach Without SURF PUNKS??!!

The Surf Punks were a punk pop band (or is that pop punk?....whatever!) comprised of members all from Malibu, how appropriate. They latched on to a cool gimmick at a time when a lot of new music was exploding and thanks to that and the radio station KROQ they were successful with a couple good records to show for it. Their live shows were wild and grandiose with bikini girls on stage, beach bums and even makeshift lifeguard stations. Their 2nd album My Beach is a new wave classic for sure. Consider this an album reco as their stuff is still officially available.
