Here's a guy who in my opinion has never received his just dues, a truly amazing talent. He could sing, write great songs, produce, he did it all- rock, soul, r&b, and funk. This 1974 soundtrack record for a blaxploitation film that was mediocre at best is one of those rare times when the music was much better than the movie itself. It's a great little collection of songs with an instrumental or two here and there. Sadly, he left us in 2003 at the age of 61, but his memory lingers on. This is a vinyl rip from the record you see above.
DIDN'T IT FEEL GOOD TO BE FREE - great song!!!
