Tim Hofman (who sometimes used the stage name Timothy Von Hofman) was a brilliantly talented pianist, composer & lyricist. Classically trained at the age of 5, he was one of those piano players that when you heard him play you could just get lost in the beauty of it. He was also one of my closest and longest friends. We met in Hollywood at the age of 18 when a mutual friend of ours introduced us knowing that these two unique creative talents would certainly hit it off.

Tim was the only musician/artist that I ever allowed to co-write with me and throughout the '80's and early '90's we wrote countless songs together. One of our compositions "When I Think Of Diamonds" is still regularly included in my concerts.

He moved back to his hometown of Ocean City, Maryland in the late 90's and we reconnected in 2006. I flew out and we made some new music together and continued to stay in touch always talking on the phone. He flew out to Palm Springs just this last March to visit and was very happy to enjoy the pool and sunshine.

As if this all wasn't enough, he was also one of my biggest fans. Even after all the years of knowing each other hardly a conversation would pass where he didn't complement me on my music. He was always putting my art up on a pedestal. Funny thing is, I was always doing the same to him. I am deeply saddened by his passing and feel like a big piece of my heart has been ripped out.

I will love you always Tim and pray that you have found the peace you were always looking for.
