Collage made by yours truly.
Oh, how great to be alive and in the music scene in Los Angeles in 1980! So many amazing bands were emerging as part of the "new wave" scene. One of these bands was Suburban Lawns, a group of CalArts students from Long Beach who gave themselves cute stage names, for example the drummer was called Chuck Roast and the charismatic female lead singer, Su Tissue. Signed by IRS records, their only full-length album is a new wave masterpiece of diversity. Streaming below, IRS is long defunct as is the band and this record was never released on CD or cassette so I'm not sure about copyright issues but if you want your own copy, feel free to email me and I'll send it to you via We Transfer. Ripped right from the vinyl.
