Another Overlooked Album - TOM-TOM CLUB's "Downtown Rockers"

It sure is a different scene these days with albums. Used to be they were always talked about and heralded like the appearance of royalty. Nowadays it seems as though you have to clamor up the side of a mountain just to know about their release. I don't know, maybe I'm just not getting out enough. Here's another album released last year that nobody ever seems to have heard of. Chris and Tina return with a great collection of new dance-able funk-rocky tunes. The album might be described as an EP of sorts as it is really six new songs followed by a dub mix of the title track and then 5 instrumental mixes of the 6 songs for a total of 12 tracks. It flows perfectly though and I would put it more into the album catagory because of it's running length.
